The goal of the CeLTA Translation Initiative is to promote community outreach through translations. Domestic and international students will collaborate, under the supervision of graduate students and/or faculty members, on translating documents for campus and community agencies. CeLTA teams up students for specific translation requests to work on an assignment collaboratively. Most translations will be from English to another language but there may be some requests from another language into English.

Any member of the MSU community who is interested in translating may sign up as a volunteer. Novice translators are welcome. Even though this is a volunteer position, teams should make every effort to produce a quality product, within the timeline of the request.

The initiative offers MSU students an important pre-professional experience.
