We are currently in the early stages of organizing a conference/symposium/summit around the theme of learning spaces. We intend this event to be a conversation starter on campus about a more deliberate and interdisciplinary way of approaching the topic of learning space design. Initial partners that have signaled a commitment to this initiative include the Center for Language Teaching Advancement (CeLTA), the Hub for Innovation in Learning and Technology, the College of Arts & Letters (CAL), and the MSU Libraries. We are seeking ways to broaden this group extensively as we understand that meaningful learning space design is collaborative, ecosystem-driven, and permeable. We have also had initial conversations with partners outside of MSU, such as educational furniture companies, architects, and organizations.

We are currently in the process of assembling a planning committee for the event. Please send names and email addresses of interested stakeholders to: Felix Kronenberg ( kronenb6@msu.edu )

Planning committee:

  • Felix Kronenberg - Center for Language Teaching Advancement (CeLTA)
  • Scott Schopieray - College of Arts & Letters (CAL)
  • Yang, Jen-nien (Ryan) - Hub for Innovation in Learning and Technology
  • TBA - MSU Libraries
