We are excited to announce that the Department of Romance and Classical Studies (RCS) and the Center for Language Teaching Advancement (CeLTA) are launching a new Spanish Writing Center (SWC) this Fall. This new space will allow students taking Spanish courses at MSU to have individual help preparing their compositions and improving their writing skills.
The new SWC is the perfect place to have productive talks about writing in a foreign language. We believe that all writers benefit from sharing their developing ideas and writing with others. Our consultants will guide students in the process of brainstorming ideas, preparing a draft, revising, and editing their compositions.
For this Fall semester, the new SWC will be available to students enrolled in “Spanish 320: Cultural Readings and Composition.” We will be expanding to other Spanish courses in the future.
Consultation sessions will last up to 30 minutes and take place via Zoom.
Do you want to know who our consultants are? You can learn about them on our website.
Be sure to check our website for more information about how to make an appointment and for other Spanish writing resources for students. We will be adding new resources and information as the SWC grows, so make sure to revisit our website often.
